Sports and events travel is, more than anything else, a relationship business. The hotels are sold out, the box seats are spoken for, the city is full. The trip exists or doesn't exist based on whether the right person picks up the phone.
I have built those relationships slowly, over fifteen years of asking small favours, returning them, and never burning a contact. The result is that the events my clients want to attend are the events my clients attend, and they sleep well during the trip, not just at it.
Most importantly: the trip is not only the event. It is two days before and two days after, arranged so the centre-piece reads as the climax, not the entire purpose.
