Private aviation is the most boring of luxuries when it goes well. It is also the most useful one, turning a four-day weekend into a real reset, or a multi-city safari into something the children remember rather than endure.
I work with operators I have flown with myself, and with brokers whose books I have audited at length. I do not chase headline-cheap empty-leg quotes; what I chase is the second-tail-in-the-fleet, the right captain for the country, the operator who returns calls on a Sunday in February.
The most important sentence in private aviation is no, we will use a different aircraft this segment. It rarely gets said. I say it.
