Americas

Patagonia in the southern shoulder season. British Columbia after a fresh snowfall. Alaska by expedition yacht. The Galápagos by small ship. Chile's wine valleys, Costa Rica's rainforests, and the wild beauty of Canada. From the Arctic to Antarctica, these journeys are often defined by timing, knowing exactly where to be, and when, to experience each destination at its very best.

I plan most of my North American trips around shoulder seasons, weather windows, and small operators who run boats and lodges I know personally. The Americas reward specificity, which exact lodge in the Bugaboos, which exact boat in the Galapagos, which exact week in southern Patagonia.

South America I work most often in Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Brazil. Galapagos is its own brief, a small ship, a land based combination of land and sea, the right week, the right captain. Antarctica I plan from Buenos Aires and combine with the beauty of Chile and Argentina often.

Canada and the US, I plan most often as luxury wilderness, the Canadian Rockies in summer, British Columbia in winter, the American Southwest in spring. Cities I tend to bracket with, a quiet night or long weekend in New York or Boston to start, a long lunch in San Francisco to end. Fun girls trips to Nashville or New Orleans, Retreats in the Berkshires, escapes inbetween.
